Objective: To increase sales at Great Harvest bakeries across America and generate abundant goodwill for the stores through national and local publicity and community-oriented service projects.
Result: One example of our early efforts for Great Harvest includes a “Good Carbs/Whole Grains” publicity campaign that makes clear, in the face of Atkins and other low-carb diets, that all carbs aren’t created equal. Bakery owners, news media and consumers have responded enthusiastically so far to our message that, in fact, carbohydrates from whole-grain breads at Great Harvest baked from carefully selected and freshly milled wheat are vitally important to good nutrition. A “white paper” that is at the heart of the campaign cites many well-documented and widely respected scientific studies that make it clear that eating more “good carbs” actually helps people lose weight and live healthier and longer lives.
